Rev. Benjamin Abdelrahman

Senior Pastor

bio

A local from Washington D.C., Pastor Benjamin Abdelrahman has a clear passion and affinity for multi-generational discipleship and community. He enjoys fostering and seeing true relationships spring forth from Christ-centered fellowship and bible-based teaching. He met his wife Hope, a native from the Philippines at a campus ministry's Bible study in 2011 and they have been married since 2020.  They currently live in PG County with their son.

Pastor Ben graduated from Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring, Maryland, and obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Theology from Washington Bible College. A licensed minister since 2015, he dedicated over 11 years to ministry at the New Macedonia Baptist Church under the leadership and guidance of his mentor, Senior Pastor Patrick J. Walker. In addition to serving as a Youth and Young Adult Director, Media Director, and Production Engineer, he also taught discipleship and evangelism classes, led community-based service projects, planned conferences, and initiated many family-oriented programs for adults and children alike. In 2019, he was called to become the Senior Pastor of Life Church PGC and is currently shepherding the church in full-time ministry.

In addition to his work as a pastor, he has a deep love for the arts. This is evidenced in his original pursuit of a degree in film and his participation in the music industry. He still fulfills this passion by working on independent projects and curating digital content with other creatives. Musically, he has worked with several accomplished musicians, producers, artists, and radio jockeys in the DMV area within the secular and gospel music world as a songwriter, manager and producer.

Pastor Ben strives to engage all people with the gospel, having a special passion for disenfranchised people, so that they may know the love of God that has been afforded to all who repent and believe regardless of social status. Above all, Pastor Ben truly loves the Lord and believes that the foundation of every good work individually and collectively is a transformed heart that is grateful to be a recipient of God’s mercy.
